FxPro: the account a copy would run on

FxPro is the broker this site links to. The site is not the broker and takes no money from a reader. FxPro quotes its instruments as contracts for difference, so a copied trade is a leveraged contract on a price, not ownership of anything.

What cTrader's list printed for FxPro

On 6 November 2026 the list at ctrader.com/copy/brokers showed FxPro with the copy flag, a maximum leverage of 1:30, a minimum deposit of USD 100 and the regulators "FCA UK; SCB - SIA Bahamas". Its base currencies, as printed, are EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, JPY, PLN, AUD, ZAR, NGN, VND, THB, MYR, IDR; the Kenyan shilling is not among them. Those are the list's words, not this site's finding.

The same page says that copy availability depends on local regulations and the broker, that availability may be restricted in some regions, and that a reader should check with the selected broker before opening an account.

What a contract for difference is

A contract for difference is an agreement to settle the difference between the price at which it opened and the price at which it closes. Nothing is owned: not a share, not a barrel, not an ounce. A copied position is such a contract opened on the follower's account in proportion to the provider's, so the follower's account bears the profit or the loss on it.

Because the contract is leveraged, a small amount of money carries a larger position, and a price move against it is felt on the whole position. The page on margin sets out what the help pages say about that.

What to ask FxPro before opening an account

Is the copy service open to a resident of Kenya? Which company would hold the account, and under which regulator? Is the account a hedging account, which the help pages say copying requires? In which currency is the account, and who converts shillings into it? Which ways of paying in and out does the company accept from Kenya? What does the "Start copying" button show for the fees of the strategy in question?

None of these has an answer on the public pages this site read, which is why they are questions and not statements.

RegulationFCA, CySEC, FSCA

No licence has been issued to FxPro by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya. Because the account sits with a company regulated outside Kenya (the group is authorised by the FCA in the United Kingdom and CySEC in Cyprus), a resident deals with a foreign firm and does not get the protections of a locally licensed one. Rules of the bank or mobile-money provider, together with Central Bank of Kenya requirements, govern any move of foreign currency abroad for trading, which goes through one of them. Investment advice is not something this site provides. On 6 November 2026 cTrader's own broker list printed these regulators for FxPro: FCA UK; SCB - SIA Bahamas. Whether FxPro's copy service is open to a resident of Kenya is something to ask FxPro.

The broker this site links to

This site links to FxPro, which cTrader's list marks as a copy-enabled broker. A copied trade is a leveraged contract on a price, not ownership of anything. Whether the copy service is open to a resident of Kenya is a question for FxPro.
